A MODERN APPROACH to a timeless legacy
Mixed Budo Martial Arts
At New England Kudo, we teach Kudo – a combatively trained martial art suited to competition, personal growth and real world use.
Kudo is contemporary mixed martial art with a foundation in the traditional ‘Budo’ arts of Japan. Otherwise known as Daido Juku, or the ‘school of the great way’, Kudo blends striking with throws, takedowns, sweeps and grappling.
At New England Kudo, we embrace the budo spirit and seek to build well-rounded, life-long martial artists. Whether you’re looking to take the next step in your martial journey or just getting started in the martial arts, you’ll find a community with us.
Mixed Budo Combat Sport

Welcome to New England Kudo!
My name’s Jim. I’m the chief instructor at New England Kudo. I’m also currently the only Kudo International Federation branch chief operating in the east coast of the US. I’m excited to be a part of the growth of Kudo across the US and I’m stoked that you’ve taken an interest in training with us.
We proudly fuse the warrior traditions of Budo with contemporary teaching philosophy and a progressive mindset. Our focus lies in making life long martial artists, good people and well-rounded fighters.
Whether you’re new to martial arts or much further along in your journey, I am confident that you’ll find the support and the challenge that you’re looking for at New England Kudo.
